Michaela Manaskova Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 Hello, I've been downloading eps files from a photobank and I have difficulty to work with some of them or even to open them up properly in either Affinity Photo or Designer. Especially, it's the files that contain transparency effect. Those pictures when opened up are either impossible to use for what they are made (that is, transparent layers) or are more or less heavily pixelated and in some cases don't look like anything of the original picture. I looked for some help with the photobank support, but they only told me that the pictures are done by (and probably also designed for?) Illustrator and that was it for the answer. Is it possible that both Affinity programs cannot process these files properly or am I simply missing something? Thanks for your help! Michaela P.S. Those two pictures are IMO pretty descriptive of what I'm writing about... find 5 differences... Quote
Staff stokerg Posted February 20, 2020 Staff Posted February 20, 2020 Hi Michaela Manaskova and Welcome to the Forums, As explained on this link The EPS file will have an embedded AI file, which we can't read. If you can get a copy of the EPS as PDF, it should open much better in Affinity Michaela Manaskova 1 Quote
