joecm Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 I've discovered the amazing symbol layer feature of Affinity Designer, allowing the user to edit once and see the edit synchronised across multiple locations. From what I can see, this is currently a Designer-only feature, but I see no reason why Photo users such as myself wouldn't want to be able to do this too. Is there a plan to integrate the feature into Photo? It's super useful for social media editing. Quote

If it is useful for someone to edit photos, they can buy ADe - it will be well invested money for them :-) Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.5.7.2948 (Retail) Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100.2605. joecm Posted February 14, 2020 Author Posted February 14, 2020 Sure, and I'm considering that, but it seems relevant to Photos. Plus buying designer for one feature is a bit nuts regardless of price. Quote

Certainly, that must be considered by everyone. But recognize, if Serif implemented all the useful features from ADe to APh and APu, and all the useful features from APh to ADe and APu, and ... then would there be a reason for three individual applications? Certainly not, because no one would buy them. And do you think that this one cool application that can do all the useful features of APh/ADe/APu would still cost only 50?
