RMJones Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 I'm having trouble opening a file into a canvas/ document I'm already working in. I know how to import or open from the cloud to create a new document, copy and paste the layers into the working document, but is there a way to just import what I need directly into the working document? I go to "place image", choose import from cloud, and choose the file (in this case, it's another .afdesign file from a skillshare class). I get a notification that says "image imported, drag to place your image", but the image is nowhere to be found. When I open my layers tab, it's not there either. Thanks in advance! Quote
Staff stokerg Posted February 4, 2020 Staff Posted February 4, 2020 Hi RMJones and Welcome to the Forums, Placing is the correct method to be using. Could you attach the afdesign file that is failing to Place on the canvas? Also if you move the file from Cloud storage onto the iPads local storage does it then Place? Quote
RMJones Posted February 4, 2020 Author Posted February 4, 2020 Hi stokerg, and thank you! I’ve attached the files. I just tried moving the files from the cloud to the iPad itself, and went to place, and unfortunately the same result. It said “image imported, drag to place your image”, but the image/ file wasn’t there... Lesson12_Draw_A_Letter_Exercise.afdesign Lesson10_Heart_Exercise 3.afdesign Final_Project_Fox.afdesign Quote
