General Workflow

Recommended Posts

I'm putting this topic in the feature requests section since it's likely that it will mostly be about feature requests. I did some logo work over the weekend, and tried to incorporate Designer as much as I could. I came across some workflow annoyances, and I ended up switching back and forth with Sketch (on that note SVG export / import work fairly well):

1. I'm sure this will change, but not having shortcut access to many features is quite annoying, and slows down my workflow.

2. Sketch's radius tools have changed my workflow so much that not having them is difficult. Essentially they let me set a precise "radius" of a node to adjust it's "rounding". It's particularly nice when a precise, and exact visual appearance is required.

3. Expand stroke not working was a huge annoyance as it's a tool I use frequently. But I know it's coming.

4. Maybe I just couldn't find it, but I saw no way to control stroke placement (inside, outside, center). Again this is functionality I use frequently.

5. Brush defaults scale with resolution. I know we haven't seen a lot of love on the pixel front (since most changes I've seen are vector), but it would be wonderful if some sort of default awareness of brush sizes existed. What I mean is a minimum default diameter based on the document resolution. I often switch back, and forth creating new documents to sketch in (something awesome with Designer having pixel features!), and having to adjust the diameter of the brush WAY up, or way down is something that maybe could be improved. Btw does a shortcut key combination exist that brings up any sort of mini brush control box under cursor?
