Hey there, I build 19 artworks for printing on big walls. The printer needs them with 250 DPI. The works have a sizes between 2.5x2m and 3x2m real size.

I tried to export them as pdf a lot of times. It takes very long to export them (once it worked with the whole file it takes more than 2 hours). But the file seems so big, Mac preview and adobe reader can't open the pdf file so I can't check if the export succeeded in total.

Now I also tried to put just one artwork into a seperate file to see if different properties work different. It's still very big (281 mb).

Hopefully any one knows the final trick?!

Usually anything that will be large are designed to scale, the printer will then scale up. Also most apps that view PDF files have a limit to the size (dimensions not file size) of the file they can display.

If you can PM me a link to the file I can take a look, also let me know your PDF export settings.
