SketchyMoves Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Hi all, wonder if you can help. I'm trialing Affinity Designer for vector cartooning. A very important function I need is the ability to trim the ends of overlapping lines, e.g. in this Illustrator video: https://youtu.be/D53eia5bbYo?t=1501 (time stamp 25:01) From other posts I understand there's no vector eraser tool, so I'm looking for workarounds. One way I can see is to add a vector point at the intersection and delete the overlapping section of the path, however this is probably too fiddly and slow for my needs. Are there any other approaches to quickly trim down path lines? Perhaps using a drawn shape as an eraser? Thanks Quote
Staff Callum Posted January 14, 2020 Staff Posted January 14, 2020 Hi Sketchy Moves, Welcome to the forums :) I unfortunately think you have already outlined the best way to do this I'm afraid. Hopefully another forum member who is in your situation will have a solution for you. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
