Please help me with this issue. I am making a street map. I am using a pen tool and then in the appearance menu i edit the roads. 4 pt black and 3 pt white on the top, that it makes nice black edge. Here is the problem. When I break the line with pen tool and then start a new one, it will create a new layer with different appearance. And for that reason I have to edit all the layers one by one. Is there a way that i can join existing road (pen tool line) and this new line will be in the same layer with the same appearance?

Thank you

The pen tool creates a new layer for each line. You can select Node tool, select two layers place a finger on screen then tap two end nodes to select both. Then tap join in Context menu. The lines become 'one' and the two layers are combined to one layer.

Perhaps do all black lines first, as above. Then duplicate finished map onto new layer, select new layer and change line width and colour to give white overlay.
