Create grayscale layer with red channel on AP on IPad [SOLVED]

Hi

I want to select a channel from an image, for example red, and create a new layer with it.

I've seen tutorials where this can easily be done in AP on Desktop. In the video 0:44'... but with my IPad I can't do it

 

Can you help me?

Use the Channels studio and tap the menu at right side of relevant channel. Attached recording shows how to create a greyscale layer using the red channel.

Thank you for your  response, but in the menu of my channel study do not appear the background channels ,

 

so I cannot use their side menus

I have solved it.

My image was not rasterized after importing it.

After rasterizing it, the background channels appear

Everything is fine and I can create the layer from the channel
