NguyenTuanPC Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 Hello My newly aquired Macbook Pro 15" 2019 has some serious issues when running Affinity Designer. I am just drawing some basic circles with the Pencil tool and the laptop overheats like crazy and the fans start spinning like it's about to explode. CPU usage goes to surreal 800% / 500% / 350%... Does anyone else have this problem? thanks! Quote
Staff DWright Posted December 23, 2019 Staff Posted December 23, 2019 The MacBook Pro's are designed for passive cooling but when a load is placed on the CPU or GPU then the fans will spin up to remove the excess heat generated, on a Mac the CPU usage values relate to the number of cores being used so 800% means that eight cores are being used and 350% means the three and half cores are being used Quote
LeMiau Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 I am also having issues with the programs causing my Macbook Pro 2018 to overheat like a mother clucker. Its crashed several times, like, black screen -poof- crashed. It also heats up really badly like you could almost burn yourself. I have a small usb fan literally aimed on my keyboard when I use the programs now. Quote
