When I begin using my vector brush, things freeze and I am not allowed to click on anything.  My cursor can move around, but that's it.  I have to go to task manager, choose Affinity, and End Task.

What 's the problem? Any ideas?

thanks,

Josh

Welcome to the forum Josh, which vector brush are you using and how big is the brush e.g pixel size. Out of curiosity does the same thing happen in Pixel Persona with Raster brushes and finally what are your system specs please.

The icon in the draw personal that says "vector brush". I am not sure of the brush size/name but it is just a general brush under "Pens".  It doesn't happen with pixel brushes.  System specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz  3.19GHz

Installed RAM:  8 GB

System type:  64 bit operating system, x64-based processor

Pen and touch support

Just realized I didn't select an actual brush type from the right "brush" tab ex. Marker, Acrylic.  I thought when you select the vector brush button on the left, a default brush would appear that you could begin painting  with.   Does this matter.    For some reason after I chose a brush type from the "Brush" tab, it is now working and not locking up.

It seem to work better after I shut down AD and open it up again.

Any tips/advice?
