If you buy the Mac app, can you use it also om iPad pro

I am a complete noob on the Mac/iPad , I am very sorry if this  is a stupid question. I bought the Affinity Photo app on my Mac, but I want this app also on my IPad. Do I have to buy the app Again for the IPad or can I use that same purchase?

You will have to buy a license for the iOS version (iPad). Each platform (macOS, iOS, Windows) requires its own license.
