tongcreator Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 I attached a few screenshots in the game Mirror's Edge to create a panorama. My problem with this is trying to correct the extreme distortion. I tried the distortion filter and setting the source point in the right area but it still has distortion even when I zoom in. My question for anyone reading this: Is it possible to correct or fix this distortion, and if so, could you show me how to do so? I will attach the affinity photo file and the image below.(Image would not upload) Mirrors_Edge_Panorama.afphoto Quote
firstdefence Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 The issue is the vertical lines of the buildings are arching not straight. imagine trying to straighten a lot of differently sized arcs. Using the perspective tool will not straighten these arc'd buildings and the mesh tool would be very hard to do if not impossible. If you could "step back" and take a matrix of images (5 x 5) so as to mitigate the fish eye effect that might work. firstdefence Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 You could use Affinitys Panorama feature. Make sure you have 20-30% overlay from the previous tile.
