BernhardS
Hi, on MacOS Catalina, the command "Place" does not work - all image files such as .jpg, .png etc. are greyed out in the menu. Affinity Photo has access to open files such as .ai, .afphoto. On System Preferences/Security & Privacy/Privacy, Affinity Photo is given Access to Files and folders in the Documents Folder. Staff Callum Posted November 12, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 12, 2019 Hi BernhardS, Welcome to the forums This sounds like an odd issue! I'm not getting this behaviour here, please could you try opening the app with the CTRL key held down and when the reset menu appears click Select All then Clear to see if this solves your issue? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
BernhardS
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I was asked to authorise access - chose authorise global, selected the documents folder, and chose authorize. It still has all image files greyed out when I choose the place command. Staff Callum Posted November 12, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 12, 2019 Please could you restart your Mac and see if this issue persists? if this doesn't work please could you try reinstalling Affinity. BernhardS
I've reinstalled Affinity (restarted Mac in between de- and re-installation). Problem persist. On opening AP I get a message that I have to authorize AP to access files. I choose authorize global and MacHD/Users. No change. btw opening the .afphoto is no problem, it is just the "place" command.
