File -> Export... and the app crashes

Recommended Posts

Whenever I try to export an image on Affinity Photo, the app crashes and I lose all of my edits. How to I fix this issue so that I can export my work without the app crashing and deleting everything?

If it helps: I use windows 10 and I use Affinity Photo version 1.7.3.481.

Hi aj.0088 and Welcome the Forums,

At what point do you get the crash?  Have you tried exporting to a different location, if the crash happens after you've selected where you want to export to?  What format are you trying to export out as?

Still getting acquainted with this forum. I’ve tried to export to multiple locations as JPG and PNG

Have you tried exporting to the Desktop or Documents folder?

Have you got any crash reports in this location:

%appdata%/Affinity/Photo/1.0/CrashReports/reports

To get to that location, call up the Run Box by holding down the Windows key and tapping the letter R.  In the run box, copy and paste the above path and click ok.  If you can then either attach those here or upload them to our Dropbox here that would be a big help :)

No crash reports. And yes, I just tried exporting to documents and desktop folders with no luck.
