Artsdad
Creating a document to print out on a scored 8" by 5.5" card stock that is scored so that a folded card is 4.0" by 5.5". Putting a photo on front and logo etc bottom of back page. Having an issue when printing with white borders. Creating a .250 inch border on "top" of card and along "bottom" of card in the long direction. Even on the screen, but when printing the top border prints wider and the lower border prints narrower. Checked all settings and cannot figure out an adjustment to make white borders even "top and bottom". Any suggestions about settings or printer setup that need to be considered? Thank you!!!! Also tried printing to a pdf to print from. Same issue with the border.
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Artsdad. Just guessing, but it sounds like your printer may not support printing borderless images, and may have non-symmetric margins. Or, if your printer does support borderless printing, perhaps you didn't select that option when printing. You haven't said what kind of printer, nor which OS you're on, nor which Affinity application, so it's hard to make further suggestions. On Windows (not sure about Mac) when you create a document in the Affinity applications you have an option to retrieve the margin info from the printer. You can also retrieve the printer margins for a document you've already created. In Designer you can do that on the Margins tab in the Document Setup dialog (File > Document Setup...). In Photo, Document > Margins.... I would start by getting the margins from your printer, if you can, or by reading your printer's manual to see what its printing margins are. Then adjust your design to account for them.
