Kenneth Gale
My Question is that I have Purchased the new Canon R full frame camera when I take a photo in RAW the recorded photo is displayed as a CR3 RAW and will not open in Affinity Photo, is there a way to open these photos and process them in Affinity Photo RAW developer,?? leechi
you could try converting them using Adobes Digital Negative Converter (Adobe DNG Converter) then open the .dng file in Affinity. edit: its free to download. stokerg
Staff stokerg Posted November 6, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 6, 2019 Hi Kenneth Gale and Welcome to the Forums, We are working on adding CR3 support and already have some CR3 files opening in the current beta of Affinity Photo but still need support adding for the Canon R RAW files to the RAW Engine we use on Windows. The advice from @leechi about converting them to DNG would be the way to go for now leechi

Norbert Pilters
The workaround wirh DNG Converter is not the solution. I would like to work in one program . For one year I own the Canon R and I'm waiting eagerly for the new raw converter for CR3.
