  1. Hello. I searched for delayed typing and couldn't see any other postings in 3 pages. I'm just starting to learn Publisher and I noticed that when I type there is a large delay in the text coming out and I can't record with OBS to show. I have to type and wait for the letters to display for about 3 to 5 seconds after I type them. I only have been doing a few words at a time with the delay and it is severely slowing me down. My document isn't complicated and I only have a single image. I have to wait about five seconds for this to finish typing itself out: "This sentence takes about five seconds to fill in after I stop typing." I noticed that Publisher and Photo use a very large percent of CPU even when they were both minimized and hadn't been used in a few minutes, and Publisher was the same once when I had it open but wasn't interacting with it. I should have plenty of horsepower, and haven't installed any fonts yet. Thank you for your help. System: Dell XPS 15 9570, Windows 10 Pro v10.0.17134 Build 17134, Core i& 8750H, 32GB RAM
  2. When a file that contains curved shapes with a inside or outside aligned stroke is exported to PDF or SVG the strokes will be converted to an unacceptably high number of anchor points. See attached. Test.afdesign Test.pdf Test.svg
  3. What steps would one need to take in order to increase the resolution and quality of a low resolution photo? I have been searching on Youtube for a tutorial on Affinity for some time now, but unfortunately all I've been able to see so far are some tutorials for Photoshop. Any help would come in handy. This is the image that I would like to have its size increased while still getting high quality image in the end if possible.
  4. OS: Windows 7 x64 Version: 1.5.1.54 Was editing a rather low res photo, with only 2-3 adjustment layers. I think I was using the brush tool when RAM usage spiked. Never happened before and I've worked with much bigger file sizes and number of layers.
  5. While following the instructions of page 316 of the Affinity Designer Workbook I realised that expanding curved strokes will create shapes with unreasonably high number of anchor points.
  6. Hello everyone! Since 1.5, I am experiencing a slowdown when copying data from a layer. For example, when I try to copy data from one layer to another, I will use the following commands in a row, which will result in the beachball being displayed for about 5 to 10 seconds: cmd + a cmd + c cmd + d Is this to be expected? I attached a test image so you can try to reproduce this with the file I used. Best wishes, Shu EDIT: Alright, the upload doesn't seem to be working. I will upload it to my website and try to link it later. EDIT2: Hardware used: 2015 Retina Macbook Pro, 16GB RAM, 2,8GHz i7 Software used: OSX 11.6
  7. With the attached file I have the effect: when I disable the "Bevel/Emboss" effect and re-enable it and directly after that rightr click the object while the effect still is rendering and let it open, the context menu will always jump to the top left position of the screen. Additionally the effect itself is causing full cpu usage but that may be to be expected for such effects on editable objects. EDIT: Found out it has additionally a performance impact if the file simply is openend in Affinity Designer and if I then create a new file (ctrl + n) and simply try to draw a simple shape like a square it is lagging. If I close the file it's responding as usual again. I recorded a video and attach the files. Test-Lag-001.afdesign AffinityDesigner-Video-003.zip
