  1. How do I copy part of a placed image in Publisher? I have two placed png scans on a single Publisher page. I want to copy part of one image over to the other image. When I do a freehand select of a part, copy it, and then paste it, what I get is the whole of the first image, not just the freehand selected section. This was done in the Photo Persona BTW, as I assumed I had to when working with a pixel image. Do I need to get out of Publisher and do the copy/paste thing in Photo? Publisher Win 7, V 1.8.5.703
  2. using the freehand selection tool, I have the choice between 3 typs of selection, but I can use only one at a time. It would be useful, if there is a possibility to switch the typ while selecting an area without loosing the selection. Greetings Frank
  3. I have a problem with the freehand selection tool (lasso tool). When I have selected a certain area and release the mouse button, my cursor suddenly has the "hand" shape, instead of the "cross" shape. So I cannot proceed in adding (by pressing CTR) more areas to my selection. When I restart Affinity and press the freehand selection tool, the "cross" cursor is back. But after a few minutes the problem starts again. What I also found was that when, after releasing the mousebutton and losing the possibility of adding a selection (because the handtool popped up), I went back to the tool bar and pr
  4. On Affinity Photo 1.6.6 on MacOS: If a switch is made from "polygonal" to "freehand" WHILE polygonal is active and an INITIAL control point has already been made, the tool will switch to freehand well off the canvas, and then if "click-to-clear-selection" is done ON canvass, no further freehand selection can be made. Clicking back to polygonal allows for polygonal selection, but clicking back to freehand, no selection can be made.
  5. I frequently close the loop in the free hand selection prior to when I intend to. This is frustrating because I have to start the whole thing again. I've been advised that I can use the history tool to go back previous steps. The problem is that the history tool (on my version) doesn't seem to acknowledge any slection points of the freehand selection. It only acknowledges when I started using the free hand selection tool, rendering it useless for me as I it means I just have to go back to the start. Are there any settings that enable history to record each point of the freehand selection
