Preserve link of cross references when cut-pasted
Intuos5 posted a topic in V2 Bugs found on Windows
I often have to rearrange my cross references when I use a system like in the vid below this to place my sources alongside my text. For this, sidenotes prove to be insufficient for my needs, see: However, when I cut the target text and paste it somewhere else (which still includes the anchor, mind you) the reference is lost. 2024-01-29 12-15-19.mp4 Please add the functionality to preserve the reference link after a cut-paste operation.- 16 replies

Learn how to use the Insertion tools / insert target in Affinity Designer. These tools help you to target where a new object is to be placed in your layers. Cheers

Hi to all. Newbie to this program and studying in depth on many tutorials. Still hard work getting familiar.! Main question right now is to do with cloning -- when I have set my target spot, that moves with the clone destination brush. However, in an old program I used a lot (Picture Publisher) I was able to lock the target point so that clone brush could move anywhere using that target content. Is this possible in photo? I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere so far - sorry if it's been covered before.

I love the fact that there seems to be no limit to the number of sampler you can observe in the info panel! But how do I tell them apart? In PS the 4 available samplers have little number 1..4 attached to the crosshairs in the picture. Hopefully, I'm just too blind to discover how to label these guys. Otherwise, a dozen samplers are pretty useless if you can't remember which is which.

I just realized that by using the Target / Inside, Affinity Designer has nearly the same clipping power of CorelDraw!! I've used a lot of vector programs, but nothing comes close. (never used AI, but understand it doesn't either) If you're moving from Windows / CD, and you're looking for a similar feature: Set the TARGET to INSIDE, open your MEDIA BROWSER, then simply drag your elements in. To edit, click on the layer panel, and drag, resize, add effects, etc. So great to see!
