  1. I was trying to figure out how to blend an image onto a background as described in this thread. I thought it could be done in AD by applying a gradient transparency to fade out the left and right edges, rasterizing the result and then applying a second gradient transparency to fade out the top and bottom edges, but the second transparency didn't seem to 'take' (I got an orange line, instead of the expected blue line with transparency nodes) and I got a crash when I tried to undo it.
