To those who are new, I tried to make a horror themed videogame for Gameboy around 2022. Now in 2023 I decided to remake this game and I've been able to finally catch up with my original demo, but with a more stable and more interesting gameplay. Although I first started using Pixel Studio, and later Hexels, as the project began to become or demanding, I transitioned completely to Affinity Photo and many of my social media assets were made using Photo and Designer. You can try my demo for free at my itch.io. Or if you're into that kind of stuff, you can watch the whole gameplay here on my YouTube channel. I leave this posts with some gifs of my game, thanks for reading my post Game Main Menu Title. The main protagonist Mara's great debut. Moving Mara around the map. Interacting with the NPCs. This image, for a bit of mild amusement, is essentially a fake. I found an old picture of some young women on a beach which in its original state was sepia toned. After three head-swap operations (you figure it out - it's not hard) and a bit of fine trimming, I had three of my favourite yesteryear comedy actresses in the frame. So to take it even further I thought I would try to recolour the whole image using mask layers with the appropriate colours. I replaced the sky because it didn't look that good. I had no idea what colour the swim suits should be so I went for the 'washed out' look as best I could. Once all that was done I put the final image through a filter to produce the desired result, I then placed it on top of a serated edged card. I then stressed the edges a bit in an attempt to make it look worn. Anyway, enough said. I hope I've produced something that appears authentic even if it's not.
