For a start, my graphics card is an Nvidia gtx 1660 super running the lastest studio driver (461.40) There are some major issues with Affinity Photo running this specific setup, with opencl acceleration and using the "Patch Tool". Everything is fine until you deselect the area. Then everything gets crazy and i have to restart AP. With opencl off everything is fine. Here are a few screenshots: Image 1 is the problem i want to use the patch tool on image 2 is the problem after using the patch tool but before deselecting image 3 after deselecting. After the issue, if i try to make a new blank file, the file appears grey with a crazy image preview (image 4) Everything runs well with opencl turned off. Edit: Apparently the images appear in this post in reverse order. Sorry about that

The new official version 1.9 with activated OpenCL acceleration shows the same problem with the patch tool as reported already in the Windows beta forum: As in the latest beta versions the patch tool works when OpenCL is deactivated. Regards, dke

NotMyFault posted a topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on Windows threads
Hi, i got a corrupted file while using the patch tool. The file is private, if you can provide a private upload link i can share it with affinity staff only. Used 5 TIF files with perspective filter and masks used a pixel layer atop for final tweaking with patch tool when the beta stumbled. Luccily, a have a stored version before and after the crash. As soon as i swicth from pacth tool to hand/move tool the file ets corrupted.- 2 replies

First crash of Affinity Photo for me. First image I tried to edit with the beta (1.9.0.885). Got through the Develop Persona and fell over setting up a Gradient mask. And it seems when I go back to the ordinary version, all my .afphoto files are now labelled as beta, but still open OK.
