I was working today at some small and detailed designs, such as clocks and thought about a useful tool that I'd love to see in AD: a Loupe. For me, at least, it would be extremely helpful when you want to check, say, the drop shadows or the inner glow of a small element of your design or some small detail at a corner, a bezel or even..."an aluminium chamfered edge!" :lol: I am by no means a pro, I just discovered AD and graphic design a week ago, maybe pros do it differently and don't need such a tool. But for me, a Loupe, which could serve as a local zoom tool (of a user specified amount), would be great. Thanks.

Hello, creative people! I'm a science professor (Physics and Math, mostly) and I'm working at some electronic educational materials for my students. When I found about vector graphics and AD, it was a game changer for me. I'm not by any means an artistic person, I don't draw, paint or whatever, but I use AD for science illustrations (inclines, pulleys, circuits, geometric shapes). I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but my feature request is a small detail that I find useful for science illustrations. I would like it to have a special tool for displaying measurements and some other labels. For example, if I draw an incline, to be able to show its measurements or if I have a problem with, say, a football field or a rectangle, to quickly add its measurements. And not only the (measurement) label, but also the specific arrows, like on the sidelines of the picture in the attachment. Also, should I (or any of you) have any more ideas for useful features for scientific illustrations, I'll surely come back. Thank you for your time and the great products! Dear Affinity photo developers, I would like to suggest a new feature for the brush tool in Affinity Photo. By now, as far as I know, the resizing of brushes only works with a keyboard shortcut and with the brush menu in the menubar. I would like to suggest a menu popping up just next to the selected area when right clicking (when any resizable brush is selected) this would make switching from Photoshop to Affinity easier (for it kind of works this way in PS) and be way more intuitive and make the workflow faster and smoother (not so much tinkering with the cursor). Dear (epic) people at Affinity, I have a feature request regarding consistency, example: when using the "transform" tab, you can easily adjust sizes by hovering over the options and scrolling up/down — could you implement this in the text tool as well? I recently switched from Sketch because I couldn't change DPI settings (72 only) and it had no support for CMYK. That being said they do a lot of things right. One thing that I immediately noticed and took for granted was that when I'm 'bumping' an object over with the arrow keys the highlighted outline of the selected object auto-hides and lets you get a good look at the work without anything getting in your way. Right now with Affinity I have to deselect the object, take a look at my adjustment and then re-select the object to adjust it again. It would be smooth out the work-flow if you guys can add that option/feature. I'm sorry I don't even know the correct terms. I tried to search to see if someone had suggested this feature so I apologize if I'm re-posting it

Having spent a good amount of time building a styles set yesterday I found 2 things that are desperately needed while working in the styles panel: 1) Rename should include the current name for editing so you don't have to type out the entire name again when you misspell green. (Not that I've ever done such a thing. *COUGH* ) 2) The ability to drag styles into a custom order and have it retained. As it is, I had to add the styles in the order I wanted as moving them around after the fact is not possible. (That I could figure out, anyway)

Hi, As Affinity is a great tool to create web banners, could it be possible to integrate in the new document web presets, all the ads standard banners format (as defined by IAB Interactive Advertising Bureau)?

It would be great to have the ability to round corners by px rather then the current %.

Hi! Designer here. I'm doing mainly mobile application design, often huge projects with a lot of elements on every screen. AD is so incredibly performant that I'd love to switch from PS. To get this out of the way: Thanks for the great work. So much potential! Looking forward to the future of Affinity Designer. Now the three things that would make AD a lot better for my personal workflow, I mentioned them on Twitter and I got told to post them here. So here you go. 1) Show selected layer in layers panel My workflow is based on folders and layers and their position to each other. In Photoshop it's easy to jump to a specific layer in the layers panel by clicking with ALT+RMB on the desired layer. What this does is to expand every folder in the layers panel and jump to the right place where the selected layer is. Sketch solves this by allowing the user to decide if a folder is "click-through" or not. Some way to do this in AD would be amazing. I'd be perfectly happy with Photoshop's solution. Alt+RMB = Show layer in layer panel and I'm a happy chap. 2) Full pixel snapping I described it here. Even with snapping to pixels active, AD doesn't snap to full pixels but to 1.0 and 1.5. Only full pixels would make a lot of work a lot easier. 3) Bonus: Artboards I'm quite sure this has been mentioned in this forum a lot. Nevertheless, just throwing in my opinion: AD has such an impressive performance that it's the only program out there I have confidence in to do artboards right. Sketch's UI for artboards is great, their performance is mediocre. An AD artboard solution would rock my world. Thanks for consideration and sorry if I broke any kind of forum rule. First post! Been doing a bit of slicing today and noticed a few features which would be useful to have. 1. Copy and pasting slice selections - for example the slice dimensions are the same but the object to cut is in a different place. 2. Scrolling, dragging or transforming the selected slice to a place that is wider than the screen viewport. 3. Snap to objects like text or the edge of a square. 4. Snap to the edges of the spread!
