  1. Affinity applications have had issues with windows management from the start, its been years and I don't see any improvement. 1. If you quit the application while working in fullscreen mode, opening the application will result in a maxed out window that even go under the menu bar. The dimensions of the window when not in fullscreen should be stored and used instead. 2. Linked to this widow size problem, the screen might not be the same as last time the application was opened so the window should never exceed the screen size minus the dock (if it is not hidden) and the menu bar. I think Apple design guidelines do define all of this. 3. When opening the application, the personas button are sometimes in the same place as the windows buttons. As if the fullscreen mode was never exited. 4. Opening a file in an application should always put the focus on the application AND show the space where the application is active. Currently if you open a file by dragging it on the application icon (which is a very common practice for long time macOS users) the application will only gain focus. You have to change between your spaces to see that the file was correctly opened. This drives me nuts as I always wait for the application to load the file and then appear like all the other applications do, then after a while I remember that I have to switch to the application's space.
  2. Issue - apparent “Full Screen” bug @ app start up when previously closed from “Full Screen” – What Application are you using? macOS Ventura 13.5.2 – Are you using the latest release version? Yes, Affinity Photo 2.2.0 – Can you reproduce it? Yes Hi, since I downloaded & installed the Affinity Photo 2.2.0 software upgrade (when it became available yesterday - Wed, Sep 20th), there is an apparent & repeatable "bug" @ app start up. When I close Affinity Photo 2.2.0 while in "Full" screen mode & then restart for another editing session, the app window opens to a "quirky" full screen window where it "creeps" under the top Mac menu bar & under my dock @ the bottom of the screen. If I remember to toggle out of "full" screen mode before I close Affinity Photo, at restart, Affinity Photo will open to the non "full" screen window as expected. Fyi, when I encounter the "quirky" full screen window, I reposition the window on my screen by dragging the entire window down an inch or so, I can then resize the window so it fits within the confines of the top Apple menu bar & my dock. When I reposition the desired resized app window, the top edge will "snap" to the bottom edge of the Apple menu bar and go no further (it will not "creep" under the top Apple menu bar); and when I finish resizing the bottom of the app window to my dock, it will "snap" to the top edge of my dock and go no further (it will not "creep" under my dock). As I mentioned earlier, when I remember to toggle out of "full" screen mode before I close Affinity Photo, at restart Affinity Photo will open to the non "full" screen window as expected. This is the first time I have encountered this "bug" since moving to Affinity Photo v2 at the end of last year. It's not a huge deal but it's rather annoying. I like it when things work as expected. LoL! I hope you can fix this "bug" in a future update. And btw, I am very happy w/my choice to move from the "elephant in the room" to Affinity Photo! Your wonderful software has brought a lot of joy to my photography journey! Thanks, Affinty Photo! Best regards, SteveO
  3. I am using Intel MacBookPro and Affinity Photo v.2.2.0, with an external 4k monitor. All seems to work fine, except the full screen top bar does not collapse - cannot see the main Photo bar. Is there a way to reset the view, or perhaps this is a bug? The enclosed screen shot shows my problem better.
  4. Hi Affinity, Thanks so much for your hard work in releasing v2.2! One thing I've immediately noticed (and in fairness I can see it's also present in the previous beta builds for 2.2 so sorry for not spotting this sooner) is that the app windows can open filling up the entire screen (ie extending below the dock) if you last used the application in full screen mode. Steps to reproduce are: Open any app Enter full screen mode Quit the app while in full screen mode Open the app again The app won't open in full screen mode, but it will take up the entire height of the screen. If you quit the app not in full screen mode this issue does not persist. Video showcasing the bug Window extending below dock.mp4 This wasn't something present in 2.1 or previous so guessing it is a new bug with 2.2. Thanks very much! Max
