@AliI have to be honest, your comments are VERY CONDESCENDING. THAT SAID.... people who are advanced know it. I have a design in my head that only an advanced person would be able to do. If that is not you, there is no need for you to keep criticizing me. Maybe in the UK there are loads of AD experts but here there are almost none. In fact, everyone I tell about Serif and the Affinity programs has never heard of them. I have done the entire AD workbook, but it barely scratches the surface. There are people who know they are advanced and are willing to help or not. It's obviously not you, so I cannot fathom why you have taken the time to keep correcting what I am saying to everyone else. Please help politely or don't, but please stop with the nit-picking. Thanks ever so much. -
Incidentally I am decent at AD and have sold my work, but I cannot get to the next level. And the teaching support is akin to that of a unicorn.

The concern is that there are no people here to work with or learn from. Once I know people who can teach or help, I will be showcasing the wares of AD fabulously! How else would you suggest it be put?

I literally just watched a video on this exact subject today and it said that while it would seem to invite spam, it rarely does. I would like to believe that anyone on the forums for something as specific as AD are not phishing for spam emails.

Even on this version, when I open the APP, it gives me what I want, the blank slate where I can just add shapes and immediately work on. It's only when I start a new file after I have AD open that this window pops up. That's why it's giving me a pain... I just want it to be the same always

I would like to just have a blank black field without that, as older versions did.

When I start up AD, I get a blank field, as in older versions, which I like and which is what I want. BUT, once AD is open and I start a new file, I get the preset window pop-up, which I find very annoying. Is there a way of stopping this window from popping up please? Thanks. There are SS below showing what I want and what I do not want.

Hi! I am making artwork that has many layers. When I am creating in AD on my MacBook Pro with 8 GB RAM, AD is slowing down and getting glitchy, choppy and has crashed once lately. As I am doing lots of illustration work, would having a computer with more RAM enable AD to NOT slow down? I see that my system requirements meet what is listed but I do not what AD to have these issues when I am working. Do you have any thoughts about optimizing the way I am using AD and or have any thoughts about what hardware is best for professional grade work? Thank you!

For the life of me I cannot find the Document Menu in Affinity Designer, where is it please? I want to flatten several layers but I want to keep them as a vector so they do not get pixelated as they are enlarged. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi! I have created a cartoon character that I want to use and reuse many times. It is made in about 20 layers. I would like to "flatten" all the layers into one so that I can replicate it many times without having it be such a heavy file. I cannot find any videos on Serif or online to tell me how to do this. PLEASE HELP! THANKS!

I tried a new file and the problem persists. I don't see save preview with files in preferences at all. Would you please tell me where to find that specifically?

Some of my icons are showing up as the AD logo while others are showing the artwork I made in AD. Is this a setting issue? I would like all files to show my artwork. How can I fix this please?

Thanks! YES!! Time Machine is the fix we all need! I have it too! Hopefully, everyone else has it as well.
