YES PLEASE! That would be a very very useful option.

I opened this file up in Affinity Publisher and was able to set up the bleeds (.25). I'm thinking there's a 'glitch' in Affinity Designer. Also a couple of the photos and the bottom 'white' rectangle didn't extend out past the bleed, so I pulled it out. Will this work for you?

Same issue! Really frustrating as there is a deadline and I wasn't expecting delay because of a bleed not showing up! File is: 36" x 72" and Bleed is set to 0.5", export bleed is checked in the export options. I tried to create a new file and copied the content in there and still the same situation. And yes, the background does extend to where the bleed is. Before I had this issue while trying to export from export persona. Now it's not working through the standard export option and export persona.
I'm just downloading the file to have a look.
When I opened your document there were no bleeds set in the document setup.

Good morning! I found this thread in my search for help converting my AP file to vector. I am a 'newbie' with this sort of thing and for fun, made my son's basketball team a logo for use on their team software app. Now the team is having shirts and pants made with the logo and I need to provide a vector file. I changed some of the items to curves and exported the file as an .eps but the printing company is saying it's not a Vector file. Is anyone able to help? I am uploading the file in the hopes someone is able to assist - I'm sorry the layers are MESSY! I have AP/AD and APub if that helps.

Thank you for your quick reply. It appears that I didn't save my custom brushes in their own 'category' so they are all sitting as individual brushes in the main menu and I will have to export each one separately. I am a Mac user and I'm sure there's an easier way for me to combine them using the file system but I wouldn't know where to look. I might just have to pick and choose my favorites and go from there. Thank you very much!

I have an extensive selection of custom and imported brushes stored in Affinity Photo. I recently installed publisher (which I LOVE) but when I switch to photo within the Publisher application it no longer has my brush library there. Is there a way I can migrate my brush sets back in without having to re-download individually? I have close to 100 that I frequently use.

Hiya @chelcod!
i was having this exact same issue when I started this thread. @toltec showed me how to achieve a bleed - although I wasn’t using an artboard, i was just using a regular document setup. Here’s what I had to do:
1. set your document size to the proper size (in your case, 10” by 7”).
2. Then select all the layers within your document and stretch them out past the document size to be 10.125” and 7.125” (that’s if you’ve set your bleed to .125.)
3. Make sure your bleed is set to .125.
4. When printing, turn on bleed and crop marks and export. If you are confused by what I mean, go and open my test file above when I posted “I did it” - you’ll see what I mean about stretching the layers out past the document background to create the bleed room.
Edit— I actually remember now reading above that @toltec said bleeds and crops don’t work on an artboard. Could you just set up a regular document instead?
i remember the thing I wasn’t doing was making my images on the document bigger than the document size (which is step 2 above) which is why my bleed wasn’t working - you need to have the images sit slightly outside your document size to act as the bleed area.
Does this help?
I tried to grab all of my layers and resize but they won't extend past the artboard, they resize the artboard. SO FRUSTRATING!

All I see are PDFs. I meant the design file.
Ooops. I sent you a link to my dropbox in a private message. Thank you!

It would be best with the file. If you do not want it public, feel free to upload a file to dropbox or the like and send a private message with a download link.
Mike
I uploaded the entire file above. Thank you!

As far as I can tell in your uploaded PDF there are no bleeds or crop marks included at all. I'm not sure what pages you are referring to when you say that some have proper bleeds and crop marks.
If you are sure that your Bleeds are set up in Document Settings and that Include Bleed and Include Printer Marks are checked in your export settings, then there should be no reason why your PDF should not include these marks.I exported it again making sure the bleeds and crop marks were included. I also deselected "downsample images" because it wasn't on the window you posted. Some of the pages are cropped properly but some of them crop the right side but not the left (area circled in red). I'm reattaching the entire pdf file as well.

Yes, I have tried that as well but it only worked properly on a few of the pages after export. Would the fact that some of the backgrounds are images or shapes?
I'm inserting the pdf. here.

Hello! I am having issues with Affinity Designer not exporting the crop marks properly on a booklet I'm trying to send to print. The bleeds are not working properly. Each finished page is 7" x 10" and I am trying to export bleeds and crop marks at .125" around each edge. I tried transforming each page to 7.25 x 10.25 thinking maybe I had to take account of the bleeds in the page size, but that didn't seem to work either. I made sure to 'include bleeds' when exporting.
I am on a tight timeline to send to print and I am unable to fix this myself. Is anyone able to help?

Hello Everyone!! I just found this thread (thank goodness) because I was having the same issue. I am designing a booklet. Each finished page is 10" wide x 7" tall. Each page was created as an artboard. When I export, some of the pages have the crop set properly, but many do not.
I originally had each page set as 7x10, then transformed them all to be 7.25x10.25 thinking maybe that was the issue. Then in document setup I have .125 for each of the bleeds. I export and make sure bleeds is ticked but nothing works properly.
Toltec, do you happen to have a template for the crop marks I can use? I'm on such a tight timeline to print and am not able to figure this out on my own! Please help!
