Hi,
I’m a newbie with Affinity Photo. I also have Affinity set up as an external editor in Lightroom 6. I ran across an incident that I don’t have an answer for and I was hoping someone here could provide some answers.
I have a panorama photo that is approximately 11.5 inches by 48 inches. When I open it directly into Affinity Photo, I am able to enlarge the canvas to 16 x 48 and use the inpainting feature to fill in the added areas and the photo looks great. If I open the same 11.5 x 48 in Lightroom 6 and then tell it to edit in Affinity Photo as a TIFF with Lightroom changes I can enlarge the canvas to 16 x 48 but the inpainting feature does not work and I cannot fill the additional areas. This has me baffled.
The other thing that is happening is when I take the 16 x 48 that was created directly in Affinity Photo and exported as a TIFF and import it into Lightroom, it imports without any of the Affinity changes as an 11.5 x 48 photo. This also makes no sense to me. How does Lightroom not import a TIFF file that was saved without importing all of its features?
