But even if I make an edit and save on page 5, next time I open it, it opens at the end. Perhaps this week's W10 update nobbled it - the one that self-installed a zombie LinkedIn without a by-your-leave... 🤬 No, you haven't misunderstood - that's what it does. It's like there's a magnet at the end of my docs. You're barking up a different tree there! Try double clicking a word and dragging without releasing the second click. Try it here on this post. This is a standard Windows operation that selects whole words. Just not in Affinity Publisher.

When I open a document the focus point (for want of a better word) is at the end of the doc. If even goes to the end if I'm editing the doc, open another doc to copy something out of, then close that and return to the original doc. It jumps to the end! Any chance of having it remember where I am? I'm thinking this might be a new thing..? pageUp/Down buttons do not auto repeat, so to go down 10 pages I have to press pageDown 10 separate times. I flagged this up years ago. Any chance of a fix? Also flagged up years ago and still broken: why when I double-click a word then drag to select further whole words, does nothing get selected beyond the first word. i.e. double-click-drag doesn't work. Please make the pages panel scroll a page per 2 clicks of the mouse wheel rather than the 30 clicks it currently requires. It's meant to be a quick navigation tool, right? Is it really necessary to *double* click the page icon to bring up that page? Is there a reason a single click won't suffice? Thanks

As with the pageUp/pageDown issue, I wonder if is this ever going to be fixed? Any ETA? This is fundamental operating-system-level stuff that should just work? Thanks

Hi Jon Aha, that appears to be it. I just did a test and I do indeed see anchors set inside ad-hoc text frames but not those set in master frames. Looks like you're on to it! Thanks

I can add anchors via the context menu and hyperlink to them but they don't show up in the anchors panel. Even when I use the Add button in the anchors panel it doesn't show the anchors, though they appear in context menu list when hyperlinking. Ver 1.8.5.703 on Win10

The "interactive" options seem to have been missed out of the shortcuts, so dealing with hyperlinks and anchors is very laborious. On a related note, though not a bug exactly, adding Ctrl+Click functionality to hyperlinked entries would speed things up enormously! Thanks Version 1.8.5.703 on Win10

If I select a whole word by double-clicking it I can't expand the selection by dragging the mouse to include following words - the selection just sticks with the single word highlighted. Using Ctrl+Shift+RightArrow does expand the selection, so the mechanism is there somehow, just not available with the mouse. Thanks Version 1.8.5.703 on Win 10

Hey Serif, any chance of making Page Up and Page Down work? You know, as if your devs had ever pressed a pageUp or pageDn key? Sure, apologists will argue that I simply need to change the shortcuts or learn abnormal ways of working, but apologists gonna be apologists. No-one ever pressed a pageUp/Dn key and thought, oh yeah, what I really need to do is press the Ctrl button at the same time. That's just nuts. On the same subject, could you make the function actually work properly, so that no matter where my cursor is or what tool I'm currently using, it actually operates? At the moment I can only pageUp/Dn by first clicking outside the document. It's like even when I've found where you've hidden the controls, you still don't want me to use them. This broken behaviour of an industry-standard function reminds me of your bizarre cropping and selection-masking functions in Designer and Photo. Your applications are great and generally a real pleasure to use and in a world dominated by the likes of Adobe I applaud everything you are doing. But it really doesn't help when you break the simple stuff!! Thanks

It seems that an intuitive cropping tool is simply heresy for Serif. There's no logical reason for not having it and it seems to be merely dogma on their part for not implementing a standard solution. Adobe cracked this decades ago. Why re-invent an inferior wheel? Open image, drag the crop outline using the space bar to position accurately, hit return, save. Bosh. Hit Escape to cancel the outline and start again. Simples. By all means add clever features on top but that should be the basic starting implementation. I've just downloaded Photo because I finally had it with Designer not being usable in this regard but am staggered to find that Photo, a pixel-editing program doesn't offer this either. Not even as an option. It's a massive stumbling block, Serif. Please get over yourselves and make it work!!!! You must be losing so many punters who try out the program and give up on it because they can't even make Crop work! Thanks for the rasterize & trim tip, Walt!

This must have been requested already but I can't find where. Please make it possible to move the marquee while still drawing it as happens in other drawing packages. Spacebar is the standard modifier key for this. Thanks Chris

That's a shame. Designer is good but I was less convinced by Photo given the big Daddy of Photoshop it is up against, and without an app as good as Lightroom to go with it I'm not sure I'm going to go for it, at least not yet while my CS4 version continues to work. I guess I'll just continue to use Fireworks for simple image crunching for the time being while it can still do that. It's not a very happy camper on W10 but even so it seems there's little to touch it for basic resizing, sharpening and exporting. Anyway thanks for your quick response and thanks to Serif for taking the fight to Adobe!

Designer is a great app that I've now bought in order to replace Fireworks for web work but I now discover that although there's a sharpening brush there's no way to sharpen a whole layer. There's Gaussian blur, but no sharpening. Please may I ask for this feature to be added - it's pretty crucial! Thanks
