What is a MAS copy, and how does this work for the betas?

Hi! My name is Linda, and I am very new to Affinity products. I have been an avid creative cloud user - mostly Photoshop and Illustrator. But I am eager to test your app because CC is too expensive for me. I am so happy to have a viable option! I used to be a web designer/developer but I'm now pursuing my lifelong dream of being a maker. I sandblast and engrave recycled glass. I have a Wacom and want to be able to create my original designs digitally for output to stencils (for the sandblasting). Hope that wasn't TMI! I am just super grateful for an affordable Mac alternative!
