Wobbly lines
shustovcreates replied to shustovcreates's topic in Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
@R C-R I am drawing straight lines to showcase issue in a controlled way. And I’m doing that in pixel persona. I need my lines to be good , not shaky, when I’m drawing in pixel persona -
Wobbly lines

I don't think it's the tablets issue. Because I tried drawing with mouse and it's the same thing. I linked an image in my original post where I show Affinity with mouse test. -

@GarryP Sorry, maybe my explanation wasn't good enough. I linked a video explaining in more detail. I taped a ruler to my Intuos Pro tablet and drew a couple of lines to demonstrate what I mean by "wobbly" taped ruler to intuos pro.mp4 -
Hi everyone So.. my lines arent straight, they are like.. wobbly. I did a comparison between other software, I dont use stabilizer anywhere. Actually with affinity , I tried drawing with mouse instead of pen tablet and get the same result. Does anyone know the solution for that? Tried to disable openCL, it doesnt help

Issue with creating vector brush

Yeah zooming out changes things.. Tried to export images, it looks the same - ugly absolutely, stretch will fix this, but I need repeat, stretch will look ugly on long strokes -
Issue with creating vector brush
shustovcreates replied to shustovcreates's topic in Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
To me it seems super straight.. can you check the file I linked? I don’t really see an issue. The thing is, even if it is slightly curved at the end, it shouldn’t do that. I just draw with my pen and pretty often it looks like that -
Intertwined Wire
shustovcreates replied to shustovcreates's topic in Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Check the Appearance panel. You need to have two strokes, black that is thicker, blue that is thinner. It is a duplicate of the previous curve. I just removed extra points that won’t be seen anyway -

affinity designer 2nd Affinity Illustration
shustovcreates replied to toddlauzon's topic in Share your work
I like it. Good color palette and composition. Thing I noticed is that children elephant looks pretty similar to adult. I’d remove tusks , make ears and trunk twice as small to make them appear as child. keep up good work! -
Hi everyone! Maybe I overthink something, but, I would love to draw with pen tool using brush as stroke style. But when I create new shape, Designer forgets stroke style and makes it default simple line. Is there a way to remember it? Can't find it in the settings. Linked a video with demonstration. pen.mp4

Hi I'm looking for similar option(I linked image to this post) in Photo. I found Selective color fillter, BUT it lacks colors like in photoshop. lIke purple. Is there similar functionality? My main case of use is when I have this photo, that was taken in god knows what light conditions, photos are heavily purple (Tint slider won' thelping), so I use this feature in photoshop, and easily remove any purple/Blue/magenta. Thank you!

Hm. Your file was extremely laggy, impossible to work on my Ryzen 5700G which is always snappy. So I created new document and pasted your data in it, then I removed fx from the layers in the bottom, and it became buttery smooth. I’m not sure if that was the solution was, I’ll try find time to test it more tomorrow ps: I also tried removing every layer one after another but no luck pps: I tested on IPad Pro 2017 and everything works smoothly all the time

Hi @Hellodesigners! My issue was solved become better by implementation of hardware acceleration. So in my case, if I want to increase performance, I need to enable it. I've read your thread. Video would be helpful to understand it better and in with what kind of project you experience slowdown . I would start from increasing ram limit and enabling hardware acceleration
