  1. Ah, I see. Hope it gets better with upcoming updates. Really need more options.
  2. How to create a scatter brush in Affinity Designer? Like in Illustrator, it gives you a separate option to create a scatter brush. Also, I think there aren't enough options for editing a brush, just basic options.
  3. As the title says, how to get perfect gapping between 3 or more objects? Like the guides in Photoshop tells you the distance between objects is same. Example in Photoshop:
  4. This is a really cool effect, was wondering how to achieve this in Affinity Designer. Could someone post a tutorial? Examples can be found on Google by typing "Plexus Effect" and heading over to the "Images" section.
  5. Contact affinityreturns@serif.com Look over here: https://affinity.store/en-us/help/and scroll down to "Returns and Refunds".
  6. Both the Photo and the Designer are on version 1.5.x and as said above, users will only have to pay for upgrades i.e. next you have to pay for v2.0. I don't think that v2.0 would come out so fast. I think it'll take at least 2 years. However, this is just my speculation.
  7. Both the Photo and Designer are very easy to use. You just have to understand the working of the tools in these software. As @Callum said, download the trial, watch the official tutorial videos from the staff and give it a shot. I'm sure you'll like it more and more as you use it.
  8. Serif is a company and like every other company, it pays taxes on both the physical purchases and the digital downloads.
  9. They can be uninstalled just like any other program from Control Panel > Uninstall a program Then login to your Affinity Store account, and download them from here: https://affinity.store/en-us/account/downloads/ Assuming that you've bought it online.
  10. Now I do agree with you that tutorials are a way of showing off your skills but the point is still that they offer to teach you something.
  11. Right. I saw that before posting the previous post but ignored it for some reason IDK why XD
  12. Just as the title says, in Designer the divide function makes a fine line between the two divided objects. I think it's intentional but I'd like to get rid of the line. I know I can do it via the move tool but then I'd have to make some precise adjustments. A check box to disable the line would be a good addition. Or perhaps if an option is already there then please tell me where can I find it. Example - https://image.prntscr.com/image/ZsadZxvbSPuSIoDtZBBjJg.png
  13. I think the ones made by Affinity staff are knowledgeable but mostly it's all basic stuff. Also, they have more content on Vimeo than on YouTube and I simply don't like Vimeo. I don't think their platform is much stable, plus their video quality lacks 480p which I generally watch videos on.
  14. I think Affinity Designer needs more types of blurs and a tool like the lasso tool from Photoshop.
  15. By popular I meant among content creators (Tutorial makers) as you can find a ton of tutorials for PS and AI (The factor is the presence of the software in the market). And I agree with you on the later points. And yeah, I also discovered the fact about upgrades after posting this by looking at this thread Upgrade Pricing Policy but I think it's fair :)
  16. The Pricing module of Serif is very attractive in my opinion. Although, I didn't know you have to pay for upgrades, I think that it's totally fair. You see, Serif is a company and just like every other company, it also has its expenses and we all know that software development isn't cheap either. If I have to pay a few bucks in like 3 - 4 years, I think it's reasonable.
  17. I think people should get to know about these two software (Maybe Affinity should advertise) and give them a try. In my opinion, they'll be impressed and switch over in no time. And yes @gdenby, some new features really need to be added and the existing need to be a little more improved.
  18. Both the Photo and the Designer are excellent software. They can go toe-to-toe with Photoshop and Illustrator so why are these not more popular? I mean there are not many tutorials online (Not official, but by other people) and not many people know about them. Now I know Photoshop and Illustrator are very old and that's also one of the main reasons they are so popular but I think people should know about Photo and Designer too. I mean all of these awesome features at just $39.99 each? What's there not to love about these two software? I'd like to see more tutorials and videos about these two software online which explain how to achieve some complex photo manipulations and graphics designs like there are for PS and AI. I'm fairly new to the photo editing and vector designing world so I'd like to learn more. I've seen some spectacular photo manipulations and graphic designs online and I'd love to be able to do something on the same level some day. May Affinity become as popular (Or even more) as Adobe :)
