  1. Yes but can you do that with my file?
  2. That's what I was doing. If you move the Colour tab to the right it sticks to the Styles tab. If you then move it to the left it drags the all the other tabs with it. You can only un-stick it if you move the Styles tab first. Sticky Colour tab.afdesign
  3. How do I 'un-stick' adjacent tabs?
  4. Amazing! Since I have never been able to successfully export my 'Styles and Profiles' from an old version to a new version I did exactly what you have just described - I created a document with all my different pressure profiles. As time goes by I expect to add to them changing stroke thicknesses etc.
  5. Hi Alex, Yes I did look at that! There's a lot going on with that one! I'll have to play around with it. Is there a tutorial for it?
  6. Where do you find this dialogue?
  7. Thank you Alex. All I have to do now is to remember it! ;)
  8. I'm now giving AP a go after using PhotoShop. How do I save a file in different formats? I would have expected format options after selecting 'Save as'.
  9. The tools for doing a cut-out will not work for my particular requirement. I want to be able to use a tool that will let me step round an object that has straight edges (Like in Photoshop). The brush selection tool is not precise enough - the background is rather difficult to miss without chopping and changing between Add and Subtract. The Freehand tool calls for a very steady hand. Perhaps there is a way but I have not yet found it.
  10. Since I had a bit of spare time on my hands I though I would recap on my list of desired features none of which appear to be on Miguel's feature list except 'Arrows'. I mention this in the context of being non-scaleable for when transforming dimension lines on engineering/architect drawings. Angled guides. Curve nodes that do not disappear when moving a guide to align with them. Aligning curve node handles with guides. Construction line tool. Drawing to varying scales. Aligning ellipse axes with guides/construction lines (snapping). Scaling and non-scaling arrow heads. Movable ruler zeros. Accurate positioning of second object copy before using 'cmd+J' Scalable 'Hatching' fill for engineering drawing. Simple system for exporting all custom styles, brush strokes and preferences etc for AD and AD Beta updates. Non destructive Boolean operations to be the automatic Default. Grids to have a visible 'Centre' or 'Origin' point from which all X, Y and Z units are measured.
  11. No it wasn't a particular document. It seemed to be just a random crash. The difference was that I was able to restore the document but the work space had been set back to default.
  12. I already do that every time I shut down AD. However just in case I'm getting mixed up with AD Beta I'll make sure I do that tonight before closing down and then wait and see what happens next time AD crashes.
  13. A very useful feature would be when dragging an object off the screen edge for re-positioning on an off screen part of the doc, if the automatic scroll speed was the same as the scroll speed when dragging an envelope off the edge of the screen.
  14. I just realised that if the dragging object off the screen scroll speed was the same as when you drag an envelope off the screen then that would be acceptable.
  15. I don't understand that because the styles are different. Check them out using the pressure tab.
  16. How do you force AD to crash? There are times when I want to do that. When it re-opened I was able to restore all the open docs but the work-space, pallets etc were back to the default position and not where I placed them..
  17. I did pose this question once before but nobody replied. When AD reopens after a crash it always goes to the default work-space and not the one in which it crashed. I do not think this used to happen with the Beta versions.
  18. I agree. Perhaps it could be a Preferences setting?
  19. Gotcha! It is quite a sensitive zone and in my case I have to move off my main screen onto my 2nd monitor where all my tabs are. I also found that if I use Shift it will scroll quicker rather like moving nodes quickly.
  20. Hi Madame, No this is not the same thing. The problem is that I had a very small object that I had to zoom in to make large enough for the Move tool to pick it up. I then wanted to drag it to the other end of the document which off the edge of the screen. In order to keep a hold of it with the Move tool I had to keep scrolling, using my mouse wheel, until I got to the correct position for it. It is possible to drag an object off the top or bottom of the screen and it will automatically scroll for you but not off the sides of the screen.
  21. Is there a way of dragging very small objects to the a position that is off screen due to being zoomed in close?
  22. Using Styles Category 'Ellipses' Object A was successfully saved as a Style called '1pt edge' Object B unsuccessfully saved. I was able to add a few Styles to the Default Category but not after Style 1pt Ellipse. Styles.afdesign
  23. Will there be another AD Beta later on for trying out new features?
