I am fully aware of this and agree but I imagine one has to take into account what exactly is being requested, the complexity, the usefulness and intuitiveness. Is asking for this request annually regarded as 'constantly nagging'? I do not believe that what I'm asking is any of these things. What I can't understand is why there is such a resistance to such a small and very useful change! How difficult is it to change a code from disappearance to non-disappearance?

I would just like to do my annual request regarding bounding boxes and guides. I would like to ask the developers if they could allow, when an object is selected, for the bounding box handles not to disappear when moving a guide? When you decide to select an object and then want to move a guide, there is a good chance that you will want the guide to snap to one of the handles otherwise why take the action in the first place? Also, as it stands, the guide line night not snap to the handle but get close to it as it is snapping to another snapping point out of view on the screen. In the past it was suggested that we tweak the snapping options to avoid this but that mean resetting the snapping options back to where it was before. If the handles didn't disappear in the first place then this snapping change is not necessary. Whilst the objects bounding box handles are always visible whilst selected what is the point of making them momentarily disappear whilst moving a guide? I have been requesting this ever since AD was first published and so I'm trying again. All those in favor say "Aye"

I downloaded the latest update for AD and now I can't 'Save as'. It will not allow me to search for a newly created folder after I have selected the parent folder. I select the parent folder and then offered either 'Cancel' or 'Save'. If I select the up/down arrows in the 'Where' window I cannot see the newly created folder in the drop down list. Is this a bug?

Its all sorted now R-C thanks. The problem was caused when I had changed the default appearance of the screen.

Nope! All the Tab key does is to hide the tools and Studio.

Suddenly I am unable to view the Context Tool Bar even thought it is selected in the View menu. See screen shot.

Hi Walt,I found a way to get round it by copying the text from the Word doc and pasting it back again but un-formatted. I then copied it again and pasted it into my AD2 text box.

Is there a way to wrap text in AD2? I have pasted in a column of text that needs to be expanded to fit a new column width.

Thank you for the explanation which worked for me. As far as I can remember I never had to select 'Perspective' from the 'Distort' filter in the past that is why I asked if this was in the previous version of AP?

Sorry my mistake! It was AP. I did crop the image first and then wanted to 'Distort' the image. I will try again before cropping the image.

Hi Walt, Would I be correct in assuming that the previous version of AD, under Filters>Distortion, it was possible to drag the image handles?

I don't use AP very much so I'm not too clued-up on editing a photo. I have a photo where I want to drag the bottom right corner down so that the image is parallel. I have tried Filters>Distortion but none of the options seem to apply. IMG_3095.afphoto

No Walt, I said that the check box to show margins in the 'Document setup' was checked. The one that I missed was the one in 'View'. That what I meant about too many places to set stuff up!

Yes it was checked and I am now using AD2.4.2. I will update system spec info.

For some reason or other when I select a 'New' from File, although the margins can be seen, they disappear when I open the document even though 'Margins' is ticked in Document setup. How do I view the margins again?

Is there is any chance of you can asking them why they disappear when moving the guide?

Exactly what I have been complaining about for years. Why are they made to disappear?

Walt you have confirmed what I was thinking and that the line width tool is not appropriate. However it might still have a use for incomplete or partial ellipses. I will check that one out.

What I have done in the past is to save the ellipse as an asset to use another time.

I don't understand why you keep saying I'm trying to duplicate a pressure profile! Let me put it another way - how do I draw an ellipse, using the line width tool, to look like ellipse 'B'?
