  1. I'm trying to install an OCIO package into AP. I'm following the tutorial. I was able to upload one of the OCIO folders to iCloud - aces_1.0.1.ocio. I then open AP and go to Preferences/Color. Click choose OCIO Package. This opens iCloud and the folder shows among others. However when I click on the folder, it doesn't download into AP. Instead it opens to show its sub-folders. What step did I miss? Thanks.
  2. I downloaded Font Manager. Supposedly, the fonts should be in Settings/General/Profiles. I can't find Profiles under Settings/General. Should I look somewhere else? Thanks. UPDATE: I guess it doesn't matter where the fonts are stored. They are appearing inside of AP. So everything is fine.
  3. Does the Mac version of the program have more features than the iPad version? Thanks.
  4. I've drawn a 3x3 grid on its own layer in AP. What is the easiest way to select that grid? Thanks.
  5. I tried it in a new document and everything worked fine. I now suspect that my old Macbook choked on the large file, lol.
  6. I got it working but I had to do the following: Clicked on Fill window with rectangle selected Clicked on Color tab and set RGB color (255,255,255) with sliders Clicked on Return, nothing happened Clicked on Swatches tab and picked any color Rectangle filled with picked color Reclicked on Color tab and set RGB color (255,255,255) with sliders The color in the rectangle changed to my chosen color
  7. I created a rectangle with the Rectangle Tool. I'm trying to fill it with a color. I see the Fill rectangle associated with the Rectangle Tool. So far, I can't get it to work.
  8. When I use the Pen Tool in AP to draw a straight line, both ends are rounded off. Can I square off the ends? Thanks.
  9. I'm sorry, I was not able to duplicate the issue. It might have been a computer issue. I use a 2009 Macbook that struggles sometimes.
  10. Thank you, that was easy. A related issue: I can create a rectangle using the .Rectangle Tool. I set the Pt. at 142. I can create a line using the Pen Tool and set the Pt. at 71. On screen, both constructions look to have the same thickness lines despite the different Pt. settings. Am I doing something wrong?
  11. Using the Pen Tool, I'm trying to create vertical lines in AP. I don't see how to get the line to be vertical. There must be a simple technique. Thanks.
  12. When I start a new file, the canvas area appears as white in the center. Outside of the canvas area, the background is black. Can I change the black to another color? Thanks.
  13. I've made some progress. Without stretching or squeezing the image, I got it sized down to mostly fit on the correctly sized canvas. Part of it hangs over the left edge of the canvas. I tried to crop it off but the crop tool only works on the visible part of the image. How can I cut off the invisible part of the image that extends over the edge of the canvas?
  14. The bigger dimension is already at 21 cm. I set that when New File was chosen. When I do a Lanczos Resample, nothing happens.
  15. Hi, I opened a new file in AP and set the size to A5 at 300 DPI for Print. I would like to load an image that is about 4000 pixels by 3000 pixels. Obviously, only a small part of the image shows with the above settings. How do I shrink (resample?) the image so that it mostly fits in the chosen space? Thanks.
  16. I just watched the videos covering the RAW features of AP. Quite impressive. With all of the capabilities of the program, it seems there may be no need for an expensive high-end camera (e.g Panasonic DMC-GX8AEB-S). Many deficiencies associated with a capable lower-end camera (e.g. Panasonic DMC-TZ70) can be corrected in AP. Is this true? Thanks.
  17. Welcome Mouse. I'm pretty new here myself. So far, I find it to be a very friendly and helpful forum.
  18. Does AP and/or AD have the capabilities to do this type of output? Thanks.
