I know the Serif Team is small, so I'm impressed with how much you all have been able to do, but I still have to voice that more advanced selection features are a big deal for my workflow. Keep it up!

Symbols convert to groups when copied

Evan Reese posted a topic in (Pre 1.7) Bugs on Mac

If I'm working with a symbol and I copy it with cmd-J or option+drag it converts the symbol to a group (essentially "detaching" it). If I use copy/paste, it retains the symbol. Yes, "Sync" is turned on. Mine is part of a larger group. not sure if that's relevant. This is a bug, right, not normal function?
