I have been wanting to replace Adobe Creative suite because of their greedy policies and Affinity Photo, Designer and the forthcoming Publisher has received glowing reviews. However, with Affinity Designer Trial I seemed to have stumbled at the first fence. I was exploring the functions and when I tried to amend the workspace using MENU-WINDOW-SEPARATED it all want badly wrong. The program displayed the spinning wheel in an endless loop, I could not Force Quit and the whole OS 10.10.5 (27" iMac) was screwed. I had a mouse lag of about 30 seconds and the dropdown menus were behaving erratically making the OS system unusable. I had to shut down using the start button at the back of the Mac. When I restarted and opened Affinity Designer Trial it was still in spinning wheel endless loop mode and screw the OS system again. I am unable to evaluate the program with this 'bug'. Advice please. Also, I am new to Affinity Forum and am unsure where to post a topic for Affinity Designer Trial.
