  1. I also get this error from time to time. I have not yet been able to identify a rule for triggering this problem. Nothing helps. No matter if local or in the cloud. Export and packing are also not possible. Everything gets lost. You have to quit the program and start over again. Hardware: Mac Studio / 32 GB RAM OS: 13.0.1 (Ventura) Publisher v2
  2. I'm very pleased to see that Publisher v2 now supports footnotes (and also endnotes and margin notes). And for a 1.0 version of Footnotes, I'm very excited about the feature set and flexibility with lots of options for delimitable footnote areas (star footnotes vs. regular footnotes). But what I really, really miss is a clearly identifiable markup of overrides over styles.I usually try to map necessary formatting to character formats at the beginning of layout work and erase superfluous formatting. For this, it would be a great help if the deviations were clearly visible. And secondly, it would be helpful to have a method of erasing all formatting that is not represented in paragraph or character formats. In InDesign, this is possible with the help of scripts. Since Publilsher does not support scripting, an internal method to erase deviations across all paragraphs/paragraph styles would be very helpful.
  3. The formatting of the whole footnote text with the character style of the footnote reference happens regardless of the small caps.
  4. The space after the footnote reference in footnote gets the same character style applied as the footnote itself. The space should be applied with no character style or his own character style. Also “no breaking space” should bei offered as space after the footnote reference. All best.
  5. 1. When placing docx files, the character style for the footnote references is assigned to the whole text of the imported footnotes without character style. 2. Text with any character style keeps the same, but the properties of the character style for footnote references are assigned to it differently. Therefore, after the import, the user must first find ways to get rid of the incorrectly assigned character format and formatting. All best Martin
