  1. I'm going to have angry words. I'sorry for that. I was very excited when Affinity Publisher 2 came out. I bought it with Photo and Designer. But I quickly became disillusioned. I lay out scientific works with numerous footnotes and sometimes long tables. The result in Publisher is catastrophic for footnotes. I get numberless aberrations. It makes you wonder if the designers of the software carried out extensive testing before putting the software on the market. As for long tables, Publisher is simply unable to accept them. It is impossible to lay out a table longer than one page. Here I am very disappointed and forced to go back to ... InDesign.
  2. In Affinity Publisher 2 superscrpit fonts are impossible: Avenir Next, Myriad pro.......
  3. There are a lot of problems with footnotes when importing Word files. Publisher is completely unreliable. I can't use it. Sorry.
  4. There are many problems with footnotes in files imported from MSWord. Publisher is unusable.
  5. With the style sheet "Footnote" you simply must choose the good option. Appliquer "footnote text" aux paragraphes et conserver le formatage des caractères. See attached. A

  7. I corrected the first page. Footnotes 1 to 8. But although Publisher reports that they are 10 pts, they are much smaller, perhaps 5 or 6 pts. THAT is the problem. See attached Domaine de Mons.afpub
  8. Here are the MSWord and the result in Publisher files. The text should be in Adode Garamond 10 points. On the other hand, it is easy to transform the small caps into regular Adobe Garamond.   9. Congratulations for Publisher 2. I noticed a big problem when importing MSWord files with footnotes. Impossible to format footnotes. One more effort to correct this. Thanks.

  13. PUBLISHER 1.8 No footnotes again. It's a pity to place long MsWord Texts. Absolutely not useful for me. Y. Coutiez
  14. I bought Affinity Publisher by sympathy. But i don't use it because... no footnote. I hope version 1.8 will support it. Y. Coutiez
