  1. How do I uninstall Photo V2? I can see how to deactivate it but does that remove all of the app? I have already asked for a refund.
  2. I think that there should be a video showing how to use L.a.b. colour to rescue flat files. I used Photoshop for years for this purpose now I am getting to grips with the different process in Affinity. The present videos do not do justice to this powerful tool. I have attached a before and after edit which only took a couple of minutes using Curves in L.a.b. For your info they are in the South Australian outback. There is much more to L.a.b. and it is the main reason that I chose Affinity when I gave up Photoshop Eric
  3. That is what I would like to do. When I select "Open File" in Affinity I would like it to go to Bridge rather than Explorer.
  4. Hi Gabe, no codec is available for these files which is why I would like to use Bridge. Thanks, skipper
  5. Hi, I'm a newbie with Affinity but a veteran with Photoshop. I use an Olympus SLR and always shoot in raw. Windows Explorer does not recognise these files so when I want to open a file in Affinity I get a mass of icons but no thumbnails. Would it be possible to let users choose another asset manager such as Bridge, which is now a freebie? Apologies if this already possible but I haven't found it.
  6. Hi Mark, when I download the update and then click on Run I get a "standalone installer" which tells me that it is searching for updates. After several minutes I run out of patience and click on Cancel. It won't cancel and keeps going. Affinity is the only programme that has put me through this nonsense and it makes me wonder about it should I ever get it installed.
  7. When I try to install Affinity for Windows I get a message telling me that it can't find "Platform Update". I have been onto the Microsoft site and downloaded what is supposed to be this update. when I run this update I am told that it is a standalone installer and is looking for updates on my computer. It then appears to go round and round in ever diminishing circles until I get fed up with waiting. The cancel button doesn't work so I have to use Task Manager to stop this nonsense. I have never had this problem with any other programme - why is Affinity such a pain on my computer? I am running Win7 with SP1 and all the latest updates.
  8. I have just downloaded the beta Affinity for Windows. When trying to install I get a message "Platform Update for Windows not found", the installation then quits. Looking at my update history SP1 has been installed and a search for updates finds none. I am running Win7 64 bit. Any suggestions?
