  1. Thank you SO MUCH again. This is a key consideration for proper colour management in (press ready) PDF export. Affinty should have a Youtube tutorial of this. Glad I was not afraid to ask and that you quickly came to the resccue :-))
  2. Thank you so much! I have searched in vain for clarity in Affinity documentation on this. This is so useful!. If I may, could you explain what you mean by "the late-bound conversion option in Affinity apps". Does this has anything to do with the "Convert image colour spaces" toggle which is on the "More" Panel of the Export. I assume that this "Convert image colour spaces" should be clicked on so that the RGB images are converted to CMYK and this is my current setting. But with CMYK set for the overall colour space, is'nt this an uncessary repetirion?
  3. Am using Publisher 1.10.6 on Mac. This has been nagging me : When exporting for highest PDF CMYK print quality, InDesign has the “convert to destination - preserve numbers” option: linked images that are already in CMYK are not coverted (again). Affinity Publisher does NOT provide this option. What is the preferred procedure? a) link images that are RGB and rely on the pdf export (with the desired overall profile) to do all the conversion or b) link images that have been converted to CMYK within Affinity photo (with the the Document / Convert format / ICC profile function), using the desired profile and rely on the pdf export with the same desired overall profile) not to touch them. I have been completing a book with over 200 photos and have used a combination of a and b. Is tis OK? Thank you for your advice!
  4. Using Publisher 1.10.6. This has been nagging me … When exporting for highest PDF CMYK print quality, InDesign has the “convert to destination - Do not change numbers” option: linked images that are already in CMYK are not coverted (again). Affinity Publisher does not give this option. What is best? a) link the orginally-RGB images and rely on the pdf export (with the desired global profile) to do the conversion or b) link images that have already been converted to CMYK with Affinity photo (with the the Document / Convert format / ICC profile function), desired profile and rely on the pdf export with the same desired overall profile) not to touch them. I am completing a book with avec 200 photos and have used a combination of a) and b). Is this OL?Thank you for your advice.
  5. Just bought Designer 2 ) and minutes later realized it was a mistake and I should have bought the full package (order ). I have not installled any of them. Of course I do not need 2 licenses for Designer 2. Could you please refund my first order, Contacted affinityreturns@serif.com with the order numbers. Thank you. Thank you poussart@gmail.com
  6. This being so in the current AP, do you think styles should be "lockable" in a future version update: modifying the definition of a style would require pressing a control key in addition to the mouse click. Changing the definition of a slyle while working on a long document may have major consequences, some not immediately visible since they occur far away from the current text frame. My suggestion - I think - would provide a simple safeguard.
  7. Having used ID for many years, I am still a bit confused with AP styles. I would like a style to remain safely unchanged (« locked ») until I specifically request to change it. In that regard, I find the button drawn as a paragraph sign surrounded by a circular arrow « dangerous » When exploring variations in a style parameter (say a font size) so as to examine what the text would look like, it is very easy (way TOO easy) to click that style update button and redefine the style while the action was just exploring a variety of looks. Once a style has been set, updating it I think it should require both a click AND a keyboard action. Or am I doing something wrong?
  8. Running Mac OS 10.15.7 with Publisher 1.9.3 and having the same problem. Text in Times italic Helvetica regular not selectable in pdf's. Rext in Times Regular or Helvetica oblique are fine. Any clue!
