I downloaded a vector image and had the same issue,. I think affinity is fantastic, but I seem to be behind the curve as I havent had too much practice, so I need to sit and play for a longer time. I will put this on the back burner until I need to re-visit again. :)

I am glad you like my name :) Thank you for the extensive and exhaustive testing! So, I am going to export the image with the globe in svg, only that I noticed that when I do the image loses some of the clarity on the glob, continents become blurry. Let me try this again, and .png will try this now

Hi MEB, Well it was tempramental as it didnt want to play, but after several attempts it worked so that was BRILLIANT!!! thank you I exported this as a SVG and am so pleased - thank you again!!

That sounds good thank you. I made a mask with the pen tool, and when I am trying to export this the globe is being left out totally and I dont know why

I must be doing something wrong as the mask for option 3 when grouped and copied is not selected when I export to the EPS Have I missed selecting an option before i export?

May I ask another question please. When i have this logo and I create a EPS for a website, this should be really clear and defined and sharp when used on a website?

Thank you MEB. I have some text and imported a globe image into the text to make it a letter, and I superimposed this image with a vector. Only thing is that when I export to EPS, it seems to be fine, but there is a white box surrounding the globe and superimposed globe image. Can I get rid of this box surrounding the globe and superimposed image, as any background I place this on will look odd with the image having an odd white background just behind the globe and not the other letters ? I can send you the item to explain
