  1. Also having the same issue. Typing font name in menu crashes the app. Seems to be every time now, so I have stopped doing it and I'm scrolling instead, as I need to finish the job! Running 1.8.1 on Mojave Can reproduce. The crash report you mention, is that the Apple one or is there an Affinity one somewhere? Let me know details if you want me to send you anything else. P.S. just over 500 fonts installed, and I use Font Book to manage them (or not manage—that's definitely too many!) P.P.S. I have found all versions of Designer to be pretty much 100% stable before this issue in 1.8.1.
  2. I had updated directly to 1.8.1 and found the same problem. It was solved by going into Preferences > Performance where the Undo Limit slider had gone down to 0 after the update! I moved this back up to something reasonable and everything is okay.
  3. Really nice work. Love the texture and palette, and the styling of all the shapes you've used.
  4. I'm making a bulleted list and I can't find how to change the colour of bullet points (without changing the text itself). I've searched around and ended up buried in character and paragraph style boxes, but I still can't find where to change it! Any help appreciated! Thanks, Tony
  5. When I had to give up Corel Draw (a Mac OS upgrade issue) the thing I most missed is that it has Boolean And, Not and Or blend modes. I figured out how to do some totally unique things with these. If you introduced these I'm pretty sure AD would be the only other vector software to have them.

  7. I avoided upgrading my Mac OS beyond Snow Leopard for a long time, to keep Corel Draw 11 running. I used Corel Draw for nearly 20 years. Now that I had to change to a newer MacBook I can't run Draw at all, so I have ZERO access to much of my work and can't do the SVG export either. I'm considering paying a local print bureau to convert a load of stuff on their Windows/Corel setup for me. I'd love AD to support .cdr files. It would be like a tiny little Christmas Please?
  8. Yes, I just tried and you're right as well. Goodness knows. I just know that more than once over a few hours I found myself waving the artboard around. I'll update you next time it happens, unless I'm too embarassed by how, thanks, Tony
  9. Yes, you're right. It wasn't Select All that does it. My bad. I remember what it is now—I can't sweep-select the whole thing without snagging the artboard too. Thanks for replying t
  10. Hello cleverer folks, Is there a way to lock the artboard without making everything else in the document inaccessible? It would be great if the artboard didn't get treated like just another object (eg. when Selecting All etc) and could simply be passive like the "page" itself once it has been set up. Thanks! Tony
  11. Hi all, I have downloaded the great Gradients from Dream Resources but I can't find a way to import them in AD 1.5.4, as everything I try the result is unrecognised file. I see they used to just drag in but not now…
  12. The ESC key. I was thinking I'd tried that and it didn't apply the edit but yes, you're right. Thanks :)
  13. aha… That must be it. I was using it as a way to escape the editing and keep the changes (like it does in Photoshop) which it appeared to do and didn't notice that it was doing more than just popping me out of the edit. Thanks. Is there a purely keyboard way to get out of a text edit and keep the changes?
