Hi MEB. Would be grateful to have a solution here. It seems Catalina is not too friendly towards several Affinity products according to these fora.
In my particular case it just shuts down my iMac as soon as I try something on an image, rendering the programme totally useless ...

Away from my computer for a while but with regard to the " secret ninja apps", in case you didn't know already you can install the now free Google Nik Collection under Filters in Affinity Photo too.
