  1. Sorry that I do not have the skill to decipher the code. AP is doing better now that it’s updated to the latest v.
  2. Hello MEB, Thanks for the reply, Could have been a typo but probably not because I took the time to get the info from the app (Com-I) yesterday. It stated that it was indeed 1.7.3. That was yesterday. This morning, the iMac was on when I got up. This surprised me. So I just checked the AP anew today; Again to may surprise, it is now v. 1.8.3. I set something up in Apple System Preference to auto update. What would be updated, I did not keep track. I thought just Apple stuff. So maybe APhoto updated to the latest too. But it is now definitely 1.8.3. First thing this morning, I took a 60 MB x 7” x 300dpi Affinity Photo file and increased it to (unknown) MB x 24” x 240dpi. The beachball spun for 20 min but then I had to leave for five hours later. Upon my return, it was resized. Resizing should not have taken 20+ min., right? Now I am saving the file. Affinity makes it hard to learn the projected, future size so I do not know what size I am saving. After 15 minutes of saving, the progress bar is approx. only 25% across. That’s super slow. I estimate that saving the new larger file will consume 1+ hours which seems unreasonably long. The quit (Com-Q) and force quit (Opt-Com-Esc) commands worked today,…so far. What do you think?
  3. Catalina, Mac 10.15.6, 3.7GHz, 8GB RAM, 2TB disk, Affinity Photo 1.73 does not want to quit with Com-Q. Refuses to be forced quit with Opt-Com-Escape. Refuses to NOT be opened upon login to the iMac. If an Affinity Photo image manages to open, it freezes, hangs, unresponsive, beachball forever when I increase a file by even a small amount, say from 24” square to 25” square, 300dpi.
