  1. Shift-drag marque tool (square selection) is broken again: sides are not equal in some orientations.
  2. After scrolling using a trackpad and switching to a wacom, scroll bar covers all the checkmarks. It probably should 'move' the UI elements to the side, not cover them.
  3. Not fixed in beta 7. If i disable brush preview in preferences, i can see color changing immediately when alt-clicking. That confirmed to me that color picker is broken, it really is sampling brush itself.
  4. Short click and long click samples the brush color itself. So resulting color is the brush color, not the color of pixel 'underneath' it, as it should be. I think when color picker is activated, brush should disappear or color picker should ignore it. An option to always show the sample color circle (with no delay) would be great too. A flash of color when I use a color picker is a good confirmation that color was sampled.
  5. Strange, issue with alt-click not working sometimes would go away, but then come back. Cant pinpoint whats triggering it. Just as a note, i use Wacom Intuos 4 and have wireless Apple Trackpad connected. Same results on both devices.
  6. Color picker activates only if cursor is moved, no activation on 'click' or even 'click-release'. Also it leaves the brush on canvas and will sample the brush as if its actual pixels on canvas. You can see me clicking on yellow colors at start of gif.
  7. Hope this will get fixed eventually. Merging of two layers under masked group is still bugged.
  8. Send one to Andy, another Staff member that replied in Beta 4 thread.
  9. Beta 4 random crashes. Still can't figure out why or how to fix it. Affinity Photo Beta_2017-08-04-230451_iMac.crash Affinity Photo Beta_2017-08-04-225918_iMac.crash
  10. Encountering random crashes. No particular pattern, I'd be doing some pixel art with small canvas, and app just goes poof, when i haven't event taken any action: could be stationary mouse even. Cant pinpoint any particular pattern. Affinity Photo Beta_2017-08-04-230451_iMac.crash Affinity Photo Beta_2017-08-04-225918_iMac.crash Happened before beta 2,3,4, but still isn't fixed.
  11. When using hand tool to move around zoomed-in canvas grid and guides lag behind actual pixels. Sometimes it will just stay in its lagged position, until snapping to correct place. Its confusing, please fix it. Another issue thats not visible in gif is that guides are only visible when grid is set to be visible. So guides aren't rendered at all if grid is off.
  12. Not even sure why. Editing embedded document, cloned several times throughout main document. Maybe its causing issues? Adding crash report. Affinity Photo Beta_2017-06-02-224451_iMac.crash
  13. MEB, Continuous is unchecked and stops working after document is closed. Is this by design?

  15. Maybe i'm missing it? I need to make copy some pixels i now have to select, copy and place pixels as new layer, move, then merge. Seems like a standard feature for modifying pixels in any bitmap editor.
  16. Not sure why this exist but pressing a tool shortcut select twice deselects the tool i requested and selects some tool that i had before that. Usually when working i can press the tool shortcut just to make sure im in the right mode without enabling palettes, looking around and that actually breaks the workflow: I do something that i didn't intend to like create/move layers etc.
  17. You mean it should come to Photo app or will i need to have Publisher+Photo installed?
  18. When image is placed into a Photo document (via File/Place...) and edited externally, one in document remains in its original state until replaced manually. Would be useful if there was a way to make images 'Stay up-to-date' via a toggle or similar, so AP would detect changes.
  19. Would be nice to click extra channels that were created in channels palette just by clicking on them. They could be grayscale image overlays. Would be even better if you could switch them on/off and adjust their transparency/tint similar how layer masks are displayed in edit mode.
  20. In AF i'd like to change colors used for checkerboard pattern. When working on UI elements document for my game, I use white for icons and color them in game engine. All I see in AF is parts that are on light gray. Checkerboard pattern needs to be close to 50% brightness.
  21. Think this might be handy: Have an option in the snapping manager to snap to all groups' (layers'?) bounds. Sometimes the object you want to snap to is right at the edge (or it's the single object of the layer/group) and you forgot to "hover" it to make it a snap candidate. You won't have to let go of the object you're moving, undo, hover, make the movement again etc. -- I'd love to see a smarter, automatic candidate selection: what if you hover with your selected object's edge near the edge you want to snap to, i'd just enable that object a candidate after half a second? You'd get the auto-snap to everything and it wont produce too many snap points while you drag an object over a complex document. -- Another thing i'd like to mention is that hovering to enable snap candidates right now is hard on wacom (because of natural hand jitter). So if i want to snap to small object I usually have to concentrate or zoom in and loose current layout/position in the document, which slows me down. Hope this might give you ideas on improvement.
  22. A kind-of-not-really workaround I found is to use an image brush that is a black-to-white gradient for the stroke and overlay that with gradient map effect. Its clunky and produces weird artefacts if color change is too sudden, but can work until a proper tool is introduced.
