  1. How are we looking on this 5 years after the question was asked?
  2. Having this same issue. Dragging from the Assets panel is giving me a similar problem. Seems like every update fixes one issue but breaks something else.
  3. Yep got it and it's working great now. Thanks!
  4. It is Feb 23 and there is still no official update for this yet. I tried the Beta and it corrects this specific issue, but now none of my shortcuts/preferences are working. And I'm not going to bother importing all of that for just a beta when I actually have real work to do. Frustrating.
  5. Edit in Photo works.. but if I have multiple artboards in a project (I use a ton of artboards) it takes forever to load and bogs down my system. I often will just copy and paste an artboard over to Photo to use some of the Photo only tools/effects, and then jump back over to Designer. It may be a weird workflow, but it works great for me It hasn't been a problem in any of the previous versions of Affinity which is why I'm bringing it up.
  6. A common part of my workflow is copying and pasting artboards back & forth between Designer and Photo. However it's now working with the new update. Both apps are updated to 1.8.
  7. I know InDesign compatibility has been brought up here several times before. I absolutely love Publisher and it has quickly become my main software for print/layout after using Designer & Photo for the past 4 years. But yesterday my stomach dropped as I got the dreaded email after completing two 80 page books: "Can you send the InDesign files ASAP?" As much as I love how quick & intuitive Publisher is compared to AD, I run the risk of getting asked for InDesign files anytime I try to use it in a professional environment. Sometimes I get away with it, and others (like yesterday) I have to spend 6+ hours scrambling to copy, paste & reformat every. single. photo, graphic & text frame back into InDesign. My dream scenario is that everyone would ditch Adobe altogether and move to Affinity products. But obviously that's not going to be a reality anytime soon. And as much as I only want to use Affinity (and I understand it's a brand new software) there has to be a better way of achieving some semblance of cross-compatibility.
  8. Thanks Lee. Any updates on this? It's a pretty critical part of my workflow that I have been missing. Or is there at least any way to temporarily install an older version of AD?
  9. Forgot to add this screenshot. This is where I'm now seeing "Include bleed" but like I said, only works when I export one at a time through this main export panel.
  10. I'm not seeing the "Include Bleed" option in the Export Persona where it used to be, and my files are exporting without bleed when I try to go that route. I can see the option in the main export panel and it works if I export one at a time, but I'm needing to batch export with bleeds. Am I missing something?
  11. Hi, I am working on a design that has a background pattern layer. I am adding text layers and other content above it and almost every time I move my mouse, that pattern will flash yellow or purple. I have tried hiding the layer as well as locking it but it still continues to flash like that. I also have a separate group underneath this group that has layers that will flash as well. It's a front/back print piece so that may not be the best way to go about it but regardless, the pattern layer on each of them is driving me crazy. Screenshot attached. Thanks!
  12. Ah, that was it. The Color Profile in AP has been set to SMPTE.. is that by default? I had been using Pixelmator as an in-between program before getting Affinity, and it doesn't seem to distinguish Color Profile and Color Format. I changed the ICC to sRGB and it was perfect. Thanks for the help!
  13. As I mentioned in my original post, I'm using standard RGB for both. 8 bit. Thanks, Kirk
  14. Hi, I am trying to use Affinity for a design with a specific color for branding purposes. However, the exact color code (7d9e2b) looks completely different in Affinity than it does in anything else (Photoshop, Pixelmator, etc) I try to eye drop the original color into Affinity Photo and that still doesn't look quite right. Don't think it's a color format issue either, both are in RGB. I have attached a screenshot of what I'm dealing with. The smaller square is the color I need, The larger is what Affinity is giving me. Any thoughts on this? Might be a deal breaker for me if I can't get consistent color matching.
