  1. Unni, thanks for the kind words. John, to answer your question, if I shot this as a single exposure at f8, sure, it would be relatively sharp at the point of focus (the Patagonia Logo). However, it would have been “soft” in comparison to the focus-stacked image, because rather than have a single focus point, I have 18! Short of using a view camera with its tilts/swings expanding the plane of focus, in terms of image Sharpness and detail, this was the best I could do with the APS-C sensor camera. Thanks for the comments!
  2. This image of the Patagonia Logo was created from 18 separate 26MB jpgs, each taken with a Fuji X-T3 ( on a solid tripod, at1/250sec), a Fujinon XF80mm f/2.8 Macro at f/8, and a Godox AD200 strobe at 1/2 power (with barndoors) bounced off a 10' white ceiling. After the merge in Affinity, I save and export as a .tif. Some final post-processing and file reduction is done in photoshop, prior to publication on my site at www.totalqualityphoto.com. Affinity Photo works flawlessly with my iMac. Thank you!
  3. Greetings! 2 questions please...In Affinity Photo, how can I view the metadata on an open jpeg or tif image? Secondly, how can I change the color profile from Adobe sRGB to Adobe RGB? If possible, please email me details to ss.mba@verizon.net. Thanks! Regards, Steve

  4. Greetings! I have Affinity Photo for my new iMac (January, 2016). Sporadically, when I launch Affinity Photo either from the Dock or r-clicking the menu on a Fuji .raf file, the app will attempt to open, and suddenly quit. A report is generated that states is being sent to Apple. Since I purchased it from the App Store, I called Apple, and they suggested an uninstall/reinstall of the app, but wouldn't support me further. My question to you is, IF i did uninstall/reinstall, would the app know I have purchased it, or where is the license file stored? Also, my system config is as follows: OSX El Capitan 2 TB Fusion Drive 8GB DRAM Is this configuration adequate to support Affinity Photo and editing of my 24 MB Fuji .raf files? Thank you very much! Regards, Steve Solomon steve@totalqualityphoto.com
  5. Greetings! As an Affinity and iMac (but not photography) newbie, I'd like to introduce myself...Steve Solomon, owner of Total Quality Photo in Texas. I look forward to seeing what I can do with Fuji .raf files in your awesome app! To return the favor for the helpful advice I've received so far, please feel free to ping me on any general photography questions, and I'll reply ASAP. Thank you!
  6. Thank you sir! I actually had downloaded the trial, but due to work obligations, didn't get to test it with .raf files before the trial expired. However, based on all your informative and encouraging comments, I think I'll just buy the product, as I tried installing the trial again but got a msg "This trial has already expired". Thanks again!
  7. Greetings, Affinity forum. I'm new to the iMac, and have a Fuji XT-1. I'm considering purchasing Affinity for RAW file processing, but needed to know if Affinity will open Fuji .RAF files. Thank you! Regards, Steve steve@totalqualityphoto.com
  8. Thank you once again for your detailed information! I have downloaded the trial app, and hopefully will purchase it very soon.
  9. Thank you sir! You've convinced me to try this app! I did watch one of the demo videos and am quite impressed! If I may also ask, is 8GB DRAM (with a 2TB Fusion drive and a 480GB SSD) good enough "specs" to edit RAW images in Affinity Photo? Thanks again!
  10. Greetings Affinity Professionals! As a total newbie to the Apple (iMac) Universe, I just found your app, and had the following questions please... Is your software fully compatible with both Fujifilm RAW and JPEG files? Secondly, as I already have access to Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Elements on my iMac, I was wondering what advantage I would derive in moving to Affinity Photo? (I only shoot and process still images, so no video editing is necessary.) If interested, you can view images samples at www.totalqualityphoto.com. Thank you for your time!
