  1. My recommendation to you is to use facing pages when working with spreads, because in that case you have all options you want: spreads and pages.
  2. Choose "All Spreads" from "Area" when exporting PDF.
  3. No, it wouldn't. By adding 2 mm you will only make bleed area bigger, but the crop marks will be at the same position. Crop marks are positioned partly in the bleed area and in InDesign you can change their distance from the page so they can be positioned even outside bleed area.
  4. It would be more intuitive (and much faster) if we can reposition pages by drag and drop instead with absolute values.
  5. I just wonder, why manipulating pages isn't as easy as artboards in Designer?
  6. It depends of the software how big page you can create within. I think Quark allows about 4m x 4m page so you can calculate how many pages (depending of the book size) you can put in a row.
  7. Yes and the pages always go in pairs, so the numbering will be OK having in mind your earlier posts.
  8. I expect that this multi page spreads will be used for book covers and booklets -- not inside a book. But, if so, an empty page must be added for the sake of the page numbering. Just imagine you put an image on the odd page on glossy paper and the next page should be blank. No other way.
  9. When creating PDF with crop marks from 3 page spread in Publisher, there are no crop marks for the spine as you can see from the attachments (compare with InDesign example). The InDesign file is the first one with text in Times New Roman:
  10. Yes, that is what I was searching for. Thanks, Mike.
  11. Well, Affinity is so near to drag and drop creation of multi page spreads. They need just to allow the page to stay there instead of moving it elsewhere.
  12. But when I try that, I get a blue vertical line next to the page (or between pages) which symbolize like it can be created with drag and drop.
  13. EDIT: I found the problem. When changing the width the "chain" icon must be changed to "unchain". I added a page between 2 and 4; Selected the page 3 in Page panel; Remove margins; Set the width from 210 mm to 10 mm; I got that black rectangle between page 2 and 4 (see the attachment); Now, I can't select it in the Page panel to work additionally on it (resizing, margins...).
  14. Hmmmm... I expected something more intuitive and easier like in ID. Like, drag and drop an existing page between two existing pages and that's it.
  15. Hi, my opinion is that we don't need beta forums and software, because: we would be able to start using all new features in our production work, without asking ourselves: "when it will show up in retail version to use it"; you will have ALL the users to test it instead of a "small" group of beta testers. At least, all other software companies work without beta software.
  16. I finally succeeded to install spell check and hyphenation dictionaries. As a matter of fact, hyphenation dictionary is Serbian, so I'll have to adapt it to Macedonian.
  17. I think Word's approach is the best one.
