  1. Screen Recording 2024-12-04 at 22.33.04.mov Here are a few videos showing the problem on 2 different photos. Screen Recording 2024-12-04 at 22.30.17.mov Screen Recording 2024-12-04 at 22.33.04.mov
  2. Yup. I reduced it considerably and tested that masking still exhibits the problem. steps to replicate the issue: Use Selection Brush Tool to select the sky. Click to Refine and note that the edges of the building are clean and not selected. Select to Create a Layer With Mask Then, right click on the mask and select Refine Mask. You should see the refine process creeps into the building with semi-transparent pixels and that it is no longer a clean edge as it was before. sample 2.afphoto
  3. It wasn’t doing it on follow on images. All the images I was working on were Stacks.
  4. This is really frustrating. When in Refine such, the overlay shows the selection and it looks great. However, when I commit the selection to a Layer With Mask, the mask actually alters quite a bit by creating a lot of semi-transparent border pixels. As far as I am concerned it should not change the selection at all, otherwise what would be the point in the selection? See the attached. That said, is this a bug? I've tried a number of different options but the results are the same. Regards
  5. Actually, that is not correct. I have the latest Beta build 2861 and the issue still exists. The thumbnails are not properly created such that they work in Finder but not in other apps. So, it is partially fixed.
  6. I’ve been in contact with several people at Serif about this issue. They are not responsive at all. Another company, CYME, has verified that the issue is in the Serif coding. I assume that either Serif does not know how to fix the problem (which relates to implementing the thumbnail extension as per Apple), or it is more bureaucratic in that they will get to it in weeks or months.
  7. I have the same problem and we are becoming behind on our work. This is a big issue. Serif is not responding. Rebooting Finder is not the fix. Here is my email to Serif yesterday: “Affinity Photo Customer Service, As you are aware, there is an issue with the Affinity Photo previews with the application PeakTo on OS Sequoia 15.1, as you can see from the attached image. Note that this is showing the icons from within the application PeakTo. With the Beta 2.6.0 build 2861, the previews work from within Finder but not from within PeakTo. This is becoming more of a problem with us, our workflow and our clients. Can you think of any way that this can be resolved? “
  8. I can scan using the OS and it works totally fine. If I scan using Acquire in AP, the scan looks quite bad. See the attached.
