  1. Why could it not be a selectable option? Or make the TOC behave in such a way that one could drag (or use some other method to place) items to the desired order within the TOC but independently of the document content? The latter would be a lot more complex to code and implement, but a checkbox to choose the order in which page layers are read seems simple enough.
  2. I totally understand the bottom-up approach, but there are instances where changing the layer order could also change the visual layout of the page. At that point, it becomes a matter of: Maintain the integrity of your layout and accept that some TOC entries will be in the wrong order. Ensure the TOC entries are in the correct order but compromise on your page layout. I suppose you could create a duplicate HIDDEN layer that appears on the TOC while the real (visible) layer looks like a normal heading but actually isn't. All of these options are just workarounds to a very clunky feature of the software. There are several better ways it could be implemented. This really needs to be in a future update.
  3. Thanks. Quite a few really nice ones here.
  4. Thanks for the workarounds, guys! Not 100% what I was looking for, but these are immediate and a definite improvement over what my tired eyes were dealing with before.
  5. Color swatches in all Affinity products are only a few pixels square, at best. I'd like to see a feature where, if you click/press and hold, it temporarily pops up a much larger swatch of the color you're pressing on. That pop-up could also include other info such as the color name, Hex, RGB, CMYK and other values, etc. This information can already be accessed through other means, so that's less important. However there is no way to get a really good view of a color, short of a view tiny pixels, without actually painting a large area with it on the screen. (I created and attached a mock-up of what this new pop-up might look like.) Also, once a color has been selected, or when selecting an object that already has a stroke or fill color, there is no way to find out the name of the color. I can find all the values, but not the name. Mouse hover does not show a tooltip for recently used colors and the color is not highlighted on the swatch panel in any way. Both the mouse hover tooltip and highlighting on the swatch panel are features that could be useful in some instances.
  6. Disclaimer: This may or may not be an actual bug. i.e. I may have inadvertently set some view preference that I did not know about and don't know how to reverse. I have the full Affinity Suite v2.2 for MacOS. In Designer, when I draw a curve using the pen tool and then do something else (rename the layer, switch to a different layer, etc.) the handles around all my curves become invisible. That is to say, when I select a layer with a curve on it and choose either the Move Tool or Node Tool, the handles are invisible. They still exist because if I hover over one, for example with the Node Tool, it changes appearance. I can grab the handle and manipulate it just like normal but I cannot see it. This happens for both newly drawn and preexisting curves. If I exit from the program and then reopen my file, everything works like normal until I follow the procedure outlined above. Then all handles once again become invisible. This is new behavior that just started today, even though I've been using Affinity Suite since early July.I have attached the file I've been working on where this consistently happens.
